works fine as long as you use "arrow display" in the main window, and "map facing direction of travel" in the assistance window.
A little long to set, but once set (or stored) it's fine. There are better systems out there, but it works fine for what it is.

The GPS lacks some very basic functionality. Its a shame BMW cant offer a more appropiate option for the X5.
That being said, I would not order one w/o this option. It integrates well into IDrive...just wish they would update this.
