Furthermore, I am surprised because on all the official photos of BMW or owners of X5 E70 with the pack Sport, the plastic protections which surround the passages of wheels are striking and not flat?

Can anybody confirm me that with the Pack Sport the plastic protections which surround the passages of wheels are striking and not flat?

The "striking" or flared arches are installed on the 4.8i Sport pack with optional 20" wheels. With the standard 19" Sport wheels the arches are not flared. The flares are required in most US States and Canadian Provinces as the law prohihits wheels which extend beyond the body of the vehicle when pointed straight. The idea of the prohibition is to reduce the risk of "riding up" accidents such as those sometimes seen in open wheel racing.

Those look like the 20" Wheels. Is that a 3.0d?

Here are two more links to pics of sports seats

Thank you for this precise answer. But do you think that it is the same thing in France?

I ordered a X5 E70 3.0d with among others the pack Sport and the optional 20" wheels".
It will be delivered to me with the flared arches ?

X5 E70 being quite new in France (not still of delivery), the salesmen of BMW do not know how to answer me!

Not sure, I am in Paris right now, but I have not been to a BMW dealer here.

In Canada the front tires are 275 40 and rear 315 35. the brochure on the bmw.fr site does not list the tire size, it does say that the rear wheels are 11 inches wide, which is the same as the Canadian version. You would not need 11 inch wheels unless ou had the 315 rears so I would think that you will get the flared arches. You can always add them later and post it as a mod
