Rear shade accessories...

I could not get the manual rear shade windows for the rear climate package when I ordered my E70. Do you guys know where I can order them? I have seen it in the E53 forum, but so far no one talks about the rear shades kit at this forum. I have called a couple of dealers in Los Angeles area, but no one has that kit. Any info would be appreciated.

Don't you need to change the door panels as well. I have them on my Audi A8 and never use them, if you have children in the back all the time I guess it's a good idea. Seems like it would be an expensive thing to add with limited use.

Yes, and I believed that rear shade is an oem shade from the rear climate package. My buddy just sent me these pictures from the X3 forum.

I am curious too, as my rear climate package has the shades missing too. I really want to add these.

BMW removed them from the Rear Climate Pack b/c they "weren't the right size". You should have gotten $200 off the price of the Rear Climate Pack.

trueX5er, I knew BMW removed the shades from the rear climate pack and the price were adjusted to $700 MSRP from $900 MSRP. Did you have the rear shade on yours?

These manual rear shades are not retractable. I think the shade came w/ the black mess frame and install in a holder on to the window frame or something. I believe you can remove it and put it back on whenever you like. Is this more of the retro fit shades?

the ones i pictured are retractable

these probably won't fit the X5 (as they are for the vw rabbit)

i bought my friend these shades for his car and we figured another way to attach them, because he didn't want to drill into his door. we found strong 3M adhesive tape for the base, and krazy glue for the hook. they look very nice

i think BMW will get something done for the e70...they did with the e53...
