Angry 1st Trip To Dealer Ses Light On @ 2400 Miles

Took delivery on 2/10/07 prod. date 11/06... have 2400 miles to date...SES light went on ...took to dealer yesterday. Picked-up vehicle today. Dealer found that the gas vapor purge valve was sticking in the open position/not holding pressure.Fault code 2A16 "Minor leakage from fuel system". Replaced valve ..part # 13907572234. Also performed Open Campaign SIB 51 03 07 which installs a corrosion resistant clip/retainer under the hood ..part#51-23-4-418-707. (Don't know what it looks like or where it is---wife took it to dealer).

Other "issues" that we forgot to mention while the car was @ dealer.

On two different occasions transmission would not move out of park on first attempt...don't know if this would/could/did occur because parking brake was not applied...ie weight of vehicle on transmission didn't allow it to shift out??

In "regular" drive mode, when gas pedal is floored, car momentarily hesistants then gets going. Not much pep, sport mode is fine...reg drive mode is too sluggish IMHO.

Driver side of retractable cargo cover does not stay clicked in place. Doesn't matter too much in real world use, since we use the 3rd row seat quite a bit w/the kids...we just leave the cover @ home since it can't be used w/3rd row.

Driver side 3rd row seat belt holder plastic clip came off on 2nd use...slide it back on but I see it being a problem w/subsequest use.

Any input?

Normal to see issues like this on initial run of new BMW models.

Huh. No mechanical problems for me. Agree that normal mode is slightly less responsive, but I think it is supposed to be that way.
The only other thing for me is the cover on the rear windshield fell off, probably in the car wash. No biggie, just a $3 tiny plastic part.
