Bamboo pictures please

Hi,

Does anyone have some good "real world" photo's of Bamboo please?

Is it dark and/or brown at all? Does it look a little like the Maple gloss BMW offer in the E60 5 series?

Thanks

The "good" part is debatable but this is what I have:

It's REALLY nice. The color is rich and it's very glossy and clean looking. The grain of the bamboo is very sleek. The pictures were taken in the dark so the lighting is poor.

Thanks for that

I don't like brown wood in any BMW's personally so the colour of the Bamboo would mean I'd not spec that.

However if I don't have the SE for May and take a Sport for September i won't have that problem as I'll have the M Sport trim. Or if I stick with the SE I'll have the Aluminum trim.

thanks.

Bamboo color

I think the Bamboo color in the photo's above is not accurate. The interior color is making it look much redder than it really is. It's actually a dark almost neutral brown/ blackish color. The BMW web site shows it more accurately.

You are right, the pictures aren't the most accurate. I think it has more to do with the light (or lack thereof) than anything. The flash also brightens it up. The bamboo is much darker than the picture shows. I would say it's actually closer to a black coffee color in person.

Brilliant, thanks for that

Need to spec our car tomorrow and whilst I love the coolness of the Aluminium trim it is isn't the most practical option. We have a 330D M sport Touring now and that aluminium trim gets marked all the time (especially from the seat belt buckle) so I wanted to look at the other option with Bamboo. Will have to look at some more pictures but do like the look more now. The other two trim options for the UK are not to my liking however so it's Bamboo or Aluminium!!
