IDrive vs MMI

I just got back from a trip to Las Vegas and my rental was a Audi A6.

After spending 4 days w/ the MMI interface... IMO the IDrive is far superior. First the MMI is not safe to use while operating the vehicle. The MMI has several buttons surrounding the main knob that require you to look down before selecting options to find the buttons. The MMI seems to have more options, but for me the IDrive is far simpler to operate while driving.

I know that there are alot of you that love to gripe about the Idrive, but after driving the Audi I have come to fully appreciate my new Idrive.

just my .02

I have an Audi A8 and my X5 is being delivered next week. I think you like what your used to and when you try something new it seems complicated.. The MMI system in my Audi is second nature to me, I can push the buttons without thinking about it. I like the fact that with you can push 1 button and get to a destination without going through a whole menu.
Like I said above it's what your used to.
