custom ring tones through bluetooth

Does anyone have this problem, or know how to fix it. I have Moto Q, paried to by e70 X5. I have custom ring tones set up on my phone, and when i have my bluetooth headset on, the ringtones play through. But when my phone is paired to my car I always get the default ring that BMW provides I guess..... EXCEPT, occasionally i will get the custom ring tone to play through. I seems like when i first connect, and the first call that comes in will play the custom ring tone through the car, however any call after that goes back to the default tone, even if it's the same person that called.

I would really like to have my custom ringtones play through my car and i know it's possible b/c i've heard it.. any ideas?
