What tire size and offset (ET) on wheels?

OK all you pre-LCI E70 owners. Though I'm just now joining this forum, I've been reading it for years.... and from what I can tell, no one yet has had the balls to do what I've done (and maybe for good reason).

I've grown so tired of the black bumper on my 2010 X5 that I've finally went ahead and painted it. Though others have also, I yet to see anyone who has done so while leaving the black molding intact on the remainder of the car.

Why would I? Because I wanted to keep the family car image instead of the sportier look that more suits the bachelor life I once loved but can barely remember.

Pictures posted. Let me know your thoughts, ... or don't because I like it no matter what others think and I won't be upgrading for at least another 2 years or so.

BTW. Waiting for someone else to do the same but with the rear aero kit added and painted black. May follow soon after if I like what I see.

Thanks for sharing the pix. I too have a Platinum Bronze E70 and whilst I was happy with the OEM front, I've always thought the rear black bumper was featureless and have wondered what it would look like painted.

Now having seen it (and also in the right colour for me), I've decided to get the aero kit instead to break the blackness.

As it seems if I paint it like yours, it makes the front out of place (with too many black bits) and it too will need to be painted, which I don't want to. So a full set of aero kit it is.

Again thanks for sharing the pix.

Appreciate you sharing your thoughts. Personally, I'm happy with the change since I've never cared for the black bumper between painted body and aero kit look, ... but to each his own. As I said, I wont be upgrading for a couple of years and really feel that the painted bumper gives the car a more contemporary look. Guess I'll be waiting a bit to see if anyone does the same and adds an aero kit painted black.

Thanks tonytsai0429,

Funny you should ask because I've been considering modifying the front but held back to keep that family look. Would love to upgrade the front to the LCI someday, but will need to rear end someone to help cover the costs. lol

Bought my 09 xDrive35d about a year ago. Here are a couple of pictures since then. I added the fender flares, staggered 20's, towhitch, ceramic tint everywhere, etc.
