problem with trunk door

2 days ago i opened the trunk door to put some things in the back and then closed it properly. and when i got into the car the car, somehow the car automatically unlocked the trunks and when i drove off the trunk open warning light came on. and so i went out and closed it again. and got back in and the car unlocked it again. and i repeated this like 3 times. then i thought it might be a problem with the comfort access so i left my key in the car went out and closed it again and when i got back into the car the car unlocked the trunk door again. i repeat this 2 more times and then instead of opening the trunk door and closing it again, i just went out and pushed the door down after the car unlocked it and this time it locked properly. has anyone had this problem?
ps. when the car unlock the trunk it didnt fully unlock it, as in there is a noticable gap and the warning light would come on. but unless i press the trunk release or have my car key on me, the trunk door would not open.
and i made sure there was nothing obstructing the door.

Sorry, your message is confusing as it is one long run-on sentence.

You place items in the trunk and closed it up properly. After entering the vehicle the car "unlocked" the trunk.

What do you mean the car unlocked the trunk? I am going to assume you mean "opened it" since there is no "lock" per-say.

The lower lid has a manual release handle. The upper lid has an electronic release. It should never "pop open" by itself.

This has never happened to my X5. Take it back to your dealer so it can be inspected and corrected.

I also found it confusing because it isn't a car, doesn't have a trunk, and doesn't have a trunk door. It's a truck, has a cargo area, and has a hatch..... but I knew what he was talking about

Ah.. English as a second language. You doing well.. just making your sentance too long. )

Ya.. time to report that to the dealer. It sounds like the electronic release is not returning back to normal allowing it to pop open.

top gear
On a slightly different note, whenever I open a door or the trunk, after I haven't opened it for awhile, I hear a medium-loud hissing noise like "phsssstz" that lasts 1.5 seconds. I know it's normal, I just want to know what it is. Usually the doors were previously locked.

I hear that as well. I just assumed it was the self-leveling suspension.

I have a similar sound on my Ferrari when I open the door. I am guessing it has something to do with the F1 or some fluid getting ready. On a BMW, Im guessing something to do with the transmission but I really dont know.
