Fastbuck,

Great looking car, love the interior. Enjoy the new beast E70 sights are going to be very limited for a while.
Took my wife to teh dealer yesterday so she could check out her new car in the flesh as they have a Monaco Blue/Beige 4.8, she loved it, which is lucky
Have the front grills on order too as the black ones don't look so great.
Picked up the accessory catalog yesterday too, the highlight is the ipod cable for 6FL is £39.95, better be solid gold

C

Drove a 3.0D SE yesterday at my local dealer launch. Very nice. Same colour as the on in the piccies.

The new gearbox/parking brake controls will take a bit of getting used to as will the new location of the cruise control - I like the speed bug in the speedo that shows where it's set though.

I'm going to wait for the D Sport to appear in the Autumn before making any decision.

No information available about an 'M' Sport version so that may still be a way off yet.

For those around the world who are interested how the prices compare, the UK base prices inc delivery are:

3.0si SE - £39,505 ($78,942USD)
4.8si SE - £49,945 ($99,805USD)
3.0d SE - £40,085 ($80,102USD)

Exchange rate as of Friday 27th April £1 = $1.9983

Saw two cars for the first time yesterday. Huge, beautiful front end. Drove the diesel with sports suspension

Few comments.

1 Go for bigger wheels if you can, car looks much better. But don't go for the dark 21s, they are not that great
2 Sports suspension is fine, but i'm keeping my order for the adaptive drive
3 The diesel engine is a little noisy but fast enough
4 The sports seats are great
5 Inside, it's not much of an upgrade from a five series to be honest
6 Some dealers claiming two year waiting lists. If you want one fast, go somewhere unpopular-can get one in a few months
7 Space in the back is good, but not enormous
8 The third row is a joke

If anyone has any questions, just ask.

The two year wait thing is absolute bullsh1t! I got offered a 3.0d last week for June delivery. I ended up ordering one for September build as I want to wait for the Sport version. I believe there may also be a slight change to the tuning of the 3.0d so that it comes under the new car tax and congestion charge CO2 225g emissions band (cuurently 231g)
