Supplemental Restraint Error

Three times in the last week my X5 had displayed warnings about a malfunction with the supplemental restraint system. Each time it happened when the car had been parked outside when it was very warm out. After taking the car home and keeping it in the garage the warning went away the next time I left. I took it to the dealer and they said they fixed it but as soon as I went to leave the dealer it did it again. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks in advance.

I just noticed a similar message in a 3.0 Si X5 courtesy vehicle I picked up from my dealer 2 days ago. Just returned it today but the same message was on about a "Malfunction in the Supplemental Restraint and Air Bags of the Passenger Seat but however advising the occupant to continue using the seat belts"

I mentioned it to the dealer and they informed me they were aware of it but had not yet corrected it

I have no idea what caused it FWIW.
