satellite radio

In Canada, the dealer told me e70 X5s are not equipped with satellite radio and you will have to do it aftermarket if you want it. Is this true, is it the same in the US?

Any idea if this will change in CanadA?

Save your cash, satellite radio is a SIRIUS waste of money.

Funny...I just called the dealer here in Edmonton about the very same thing. Apparently, it was supposed to be here last year, but will be available for MY 2008 in Canada for both new orders and those of us with existng e70s.

If I am correct, it is possible to order the part from US and install it here.

Can anyone chime in on whether that is true or not?

You should be able to install it as an aftermarket item.

Contact this company for good deals!!!

I can state that it can be added by the dealer. As for doing it yourself, I'm not convinced it is as easy as one might think. In order to install mine, they had to do something with the software on my vehicle. In fact, they had problems with this, so they then had to upgrade to a newer version. (Which caused issues of it's own.

So, although the parts may be freely available, it may be more than a "weekend project."
