Autotailgate
Does anyone here has autotailgate on their X5? How does it work? Will the lower part of the tailgate fold-up automatically as well?

Any update on the auto tailgate? Some say it will be available in Oct and some say uncertain.

I have seen an option code for it and I have read it will also be part of the Comfort access option... It will be a 2008 option so should be available from September... I do not know if it will be delayed or not from that date.

Shumdit is on a distinguished road
On the Auto Tailgate, only the top half is powered. You still have to manually raise and lower the tailgate. At least the preproduction models were that way.
