X5 Alarm - after market options?

Has anyone installed an after market alarm in their E70 X5 ? I didn't order one with my car and was wondering if anyone had installed an alarm after taking delivery ? There is a company called Meta that seem to offer BMW integrated alarms at a reasonable price ... not sure if there is an X5 model though ? Any recommendations or comments ? Note that I am talking about anAustralian Model X5 where the alarm is optional not the US..

Thanks

The alarm system is standard equipment on the X5 as explained here.

I would think an aftermarket alarm would trip the software or at least give you an error msg. on BMWs where the alarm isn't standard you need to have the software flashed to accept the OEM alarm
