The time has come..!

Hi guys, I really need to decide what to buy..!

My investment has now enrolled in Korean Stock Exchange Market and I am going back to Korea for selling process.

As soon as I come back to Canada, I am planning to buy ML/X5 and Lexus 460.

As I was very interested in this vehicle even before the launch, It is not a easy thing to forgo and take its rival.

So, the problems reported with x5 so far are...

1. Slow I-drive
2. I-drive sometimes not working properly (a/c not working etc)
3. Transmission not working properly
4. Rattles!
5. Key remote (lock-out incident)
6. CD Player problem
7. Back up Camera is not in a good shape

I am sure I missed some of other things, but I can take those issues ONLY IF THEY CAN BE COMPLETELY FIXED!

I respectfully request buyers to tell me about your experiences and thoughts.

I will makesure I will post my new vehicle as soon as the purchase is finished. (my best reward for you guys keke)

Thanks for the help in pursuit of buying the best vehicle!

The only issue I have seen on my three weeks of owning a 4.8 is the tranny in regular drive mode does not shift smoothly on downshifts on hills all the time. There is the DS and manual modes in which this does not happen. Otherwise things are fine. I do have comfort acess and no issue at all there. It is great.

I never even looked at the ML and you will find more issues there I expect. The Lexus is a good car but too booring for me but it depends on what floats your boat. Overall I am very happy and BMW has called me twice already to check on what I thought of my purchase.

1. slow is relative...I am very pleased with mine, but is any computer EVER fast enough?
2. No problems here
3. My transmission works perfectly
4. Never heard rattles
5. Key works exactly as described...the single lock-out you reference was likely operator error (read the entire post) w/ Comfort Access you are not suppose to "throw" your key inside the car, then close the doors while you are still outside the vehicle.
6. What CD Player problem
7. The back-up camera is poor quaility, otherwise it works as advertised. BMW also has the park direction overlay which is unique and worth the price despite the poor camera quality. Dont expect the camera quaility issue to be resolved...it is not defective just poor quality specifically at night.

Just a note on all your comments, please keep in mind that the nature of discussion forums is the "discussion" of issues, so when you qoute problems discussed here you must realize that these problems do not occur in every single vehicle...actually I would expect that the majority of these issues are very issolated as they are w/ any other manufactures vehicles (Lexus, MB, RR, etc) NOBODY makes a perfect car. personally I am extremly please w/ my E70 and would make the same purchase again.

Thanks X5FX.

Well, I think back that I wasn't having a confidence of purchase.

I ve never spent this much money on anything except for houses, so please do understand me.

Yes, you are right that there is no perfect car.

But, since this car has relatively high price, I was just worried if I buy the car that is valued less.

Thanks for the voices.

I will come back with the pictures (IT WILL TAKE SOME TIME LOL)
