LED Lighting - Corona + Fog

Hi,

A short while back I posted a thread wanting feedback on HID for the Corona rings (parking lights) + fog lights.

Well I would like to know how they would rate with LEDs, not so much a brightness issue, moreso, will BMWs CAN errr FLEXRAY system, allow these bulbs to work.

I make reference to one of the worlds reliable brands, PIAA and their application of H8 & H11. (This is not a sales pitch, I have always used piaa and find their make high quality)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PIAA-...mZ280122210868

any feedback on the E70s reaction to LED would be appreciated

I guess how I should have worded it was...

does any one know if the new x5 (e70) can operate led H8 (Corona parking lights - halos) / H11 (Fog lights)

I know it is not as bright as standard bulbs, or aftermarket ones, though I'd like to know, with regard to

a) do we need resistors??
b) will the bmw flexray system, say that the bulb is faulty....

could any one point me in the right direction, i've tried googling, but there is just too much sales info. and not enough general info on whther it would operate on the e70

Thanks

i'm think the answer is yes to resistors and yes to error msg. check over at e90post.com b/c a few people have tried the same thing.
I have bought GP Thunder h8 bulbs for AEs and fogs but haven't installed yet. matches HIDs pretty well though
