shall i get these options?
hey guys, about to place my deposit for a 3.0d. considering the base price is USD 165,000, i am wondering if i should pay the following prices for the following options
1. comfort access for about USD 3,400 2. active steering + adaptive drive + HUD for about USD 12,500 3. active seat ventilation front + active seat for driver and front passenger + comfort seats front + heated seats + nevada leather for about USD 7,700 i know comfort access is cool and all, but in america it only costs 1000 dollars. point # 2 is for $12,500 not cheap at all. there is no sport package here as the roads in india are shitty. also i don't need heated seats as winters are mild (min temp is about 5 degrees celcius or about 38 degrees farenheit), but summers are no joke. day = 50 deg c or about 120 f. also, i am getting "car phone preperation" ...does that mean i can use bluetooth to sync my phone with the car? the one thing i hate is that the are not offering any nice wheel rims. so i am stuck with the boring star spoke 209. check the pdf files sent by the dealer 1.specs 2.prices any help greatly appreciated in advance. thanks from delhi |

Good Questions...
I was in Delhi last year. Think the only options I would get are the ventilated seats, tinted glass, and the rear AC package. From what I remember the roads were pretty bad and the traffic never moved above 25-35 mph so not sure how the other options would work for you in that environment. Good luck and watch out for those cows.

$165,000. OH MY GOD. Asia, Asia, Asia...Buy a condo here in the U.S rather than paying all that much for an X5. I never understand how people in Asia could afford such high priced vehicles. about 3 times as expensive thats what i heard. UNfkingBELIEVABLE.

The ventilated seats are awesome, I'd definitley recommend that option.
I would also recommend the comfort access and adaptive drive (if you'd get use out of it there), but not a fan of the active steering. But, it's your money and you have different driving conditions, so I guess you'll have to decide if it's worth the extra money for you. Definitely the ventilated seats though, especially in that heat. |
