New options for 2008 BMW E70 X5 4.8!

I've been hearing some things about new options on the 2008 model x5 4.8. I know that the automatic hatch is a sure thing for the 2008 but I am not quite sure about when I can actually order and expect an 2008 with the auto hatch, efficienct dynamics and night vision (in other forums there are rumors that night vision will be available on the 2008 ). When can I expect to order and get a 2008 4.8 in Canada? when, is the efficiency dynamics and night vision (if true) going be available?

In Canada you can order you 08 models in Sep. but I am not sure if the Night Vision or Automatic Hatch will be available.

I thought they took orders in starting August and deliver on from September? Order starting September just seem so late to me.

Auto tailgate is now available, at least in US. '08's not being built until Oct. for US market.

The Auto tailgate should be standard on a vehicle in this class, but to be honest was never used on the vehicle we replaced when we bought the E70 (it was standard on a $39K Honda!) and I can not see paying extra for it. How lazy are we getting in this country?

hehe, I can really careless about the auto-lift gate. What I am really curious about it the efficiency dynamics on the 4.8 (when and what difference does it make) and the night vision, whether it is available or not.

Is auto tailgate really available now? I was told that it will not be available until Oct or even a bit later. Will efficient dynamics be avaliable from Oct built cars as standard (not option)?

The 3.0 diesel twin turbo production starts in October which definitely has EfficientDynamics on it so I would imagine it will get introduced across the range at that point. Otherwise it will be expencive for BMW to manufacture some cars with ED and some without.
