X5 M Sport Pack pics available on german configurator
the german configurator at www.bmw.de shows some images of the M Sport Pack with Style 227 wheels.

Its a bit clunky as yet as it only seems to work with the "Individual Colour" option and style 227 wheels, but man it looks much better than the press pics a few weeks ago

Just my opinion, but this thing looks pretty ordinary other than the painted bumpers. Aero-kit ftw.

Any idea when the 08 price list comes out in English? I note the German one now includes the SD and M Sport package. I'm trying to configure an SD M Sport so it'd be useful to see what certain packages contain and what's standard on the car, etc.

Spoke with the dealer and they've got some details on their internal system but haven't had chance to go and see them yet.

He mentioned a soft door close optopn (GBP 450) is this new? any idea how it works?

How does the Carbon Black differ from the other blacks? (I have never seen it in person)

It may just be my screen, but it almost looked dark navy blue in LeMans pics

Carbon black was offered on E53 also.
Search the E53 forum and you will find quite a few pics of carbon black. But on E70 its only available with M-pack at this time. Onyx and Ruby black are also available for a price.

I agree, the current X5 4.8 with the optional 20's (Y-Spoke) is a better looking car. The painted trim on these without some more aggressive wheels and ground effects enhancement makes it look to much like a big wagon, or something designed for an Korean/Japanese car company.
