Nothing like a two for! got to love it. I think it's especially cool that they're both black. How is it that the 540's drivers side door (inside) has the window controls on the level and not at the angle that I've seen in other 5 series sedans? Is that a US vs EU/Aus thing?

I have an MB for my 2nd car, but I wouldn't mind at all a 5 series in it's place. I probably didn't look hard enough at the 5's when they first came out, plus I REALLY wanted that diesel CDI powerplant, and BMW didn't sell diesel in the US.

Yup... 540. Had the choice of the 550 but as I'm a fairly conservative driver I figured I didn't need that much under the bonnet, nor the detonation issues. It's actually got more get up and went than I expected... and it handles very very well.

I've only done about 180kms so far but lovin every minute. Pics don't do justice to how integrated it feels when you sit behind the wheel. (window switch is angled down - it's just the lens angle)

The X5 on the other hand has a more powerful presence when driving it. Kind of gutsier so the revs aren't needed, and you notice how much higher your driving position is relative to the bonnet.

We're actually having fun just swapping between the cars depending on our mood.

Best decision we made....

Cheers

hi nice rides. may i ask what camera you used? because your interior shots have some sort of blur to them which made the pics look really good. or did you use some sort of photo editing software?
