Clonky gearcahnge from 1st to 2nd in Sport mode

Does anyone else get this...?

When i push gearlever across to sport, then accelerate in 1st (low throttle) 2nd comes in with quite a jolt.....anyone noticed it ?

Is this from a stop or at low speeds? I'm guessing the jolt comes in because it's holding 1st gear longer in Sport mode and the programming in sport mode does make shift quality a priority.

My 4.8i today for some reason was shifting a bit hard. In traffic at low speeds, it my 2-3 shift was really harsh and the gearbox was hunting a lot for a lower gear.

The E70 transmission has had some shift programming issues and I'm guessing BMW still needs to work out the kinks.

It's most noticable from standing start, but does do it from rolling also....

I don't think it's due to holding 1st (although i may be wrong), it feels like it is slipping the clutch (or torque converter) too long when going into 2nd....

On the whole, i think the gearshift is a massive improvement over the last one so still very happy
