3sd M Sport Colour Combination

Hi,

I'm in the process of ordering the 3.0 sd M Sport.

I'm pretty much sold on Carbon Black for exterior but torn between the Beige and the Saddle Brown for the interior.

From the price list brochure the Beige seems to be reflected through more parts of the interior. For example the door panels if I go for beige are in beige - if I go for Saddle Brown the door panels are in Black.

How does this work in reality though? Has anyone got some interior shots of the Saddle Brown?

Also, any ideas yet when an English language price list for the 08 sd M Sport will be available?

Thanks
Nick

The Saddle appears to have the trim on the door panels as well. Here is a link to some pics of that interior:

Thanks for the link.

Fantastic looking car.

I actually quite taken with the Saddle Brown.

The Beige is definately used in more places throughout the interior, e.g. the footwells, etc. but I don't think the interior suffers with the Saddle Brown not being as extensively used.

And with three fairly young children having black footwells, etc. will, I'm sure be easier to maintain.

I think I'm pretty much convinced with the Saddle Brown now. I'm going off pictures though so hopefully it looks as good in the 'flesh'.

Current selection for the exterior is Carbon Black, mainly cause I had this with my 535d and liked it. I'll take a look at the other black variants though.

Cheers

Carbon black is the best black that BMW makes IMO. The blue in that color would complement the saddle brown SO nicely. Go for it. I've always been envious that basically everyone in the world gets saddle brown for the X5 but us

Thanks & I think you're right the carbon black would go excellently with the Saddle Brown - decision made!!!

How come you guys don't have Saddle Brown as an option? Has Bmw provided a reason for this?

(now to try and translate the german price list to decipher the rest of the options for the 08 SD and see how much I'm going to rack up on the car - with UK pricing being so damn dear compared to the rest of Europe and the US I don't expect to walk away with any change from GBP 65k.)

Sadly this is the last picture I have of my beauty. After some thieving monster cracked a window on my M6 and nicked my laptop/portable drive.....and I only left it for 5 minutes! I lost most of my pictures from last year.....

On a serious note anyine thinking of speccing a colour for the e70 should think about "platinum merino leather"...the leather is silky soft and if you go full leather they cover the dash and doors in matching leather and the headlinging in platinum coloured suede! Hand stiched!

I have another e70 on order with synter....3.0sd Msport which is specced carbon black , full platinum merino and Im going 21" alloys the same style as the other picture below....Ive had to cut back on extras as with the sport spec and individual kit, fully loaded it was going to cost just TOO much. I bought my fully loaded 7 when it was six months old for £65k and the first owner paid £95k for it! I just coudnt face that kind of drop!

I currently have a spaphire black e70 (pic below) with beige and although the beige looks nice it starts to grate after a while a just looks somehow false. Id go platinum. There also going to be offering the e70 with the VERY dark blue interior called syrah blue through individual, which might look nice with a carbon black car.....
