Please help me decide.

I plan to purchase a new 2007 X5 but I have two issues that I need cleared up.

1) I am debating whether to upgrade the leatherette to leather. Beside knowing it is not leather, what are other disadvantages of keeping it?

2) If BMW assist is part of BMW ultimate service plan, why should I add it as an option for $750?

If you get premium package, you get leather and BMW assist.
BMW assist is free only if you have it.
I haven't seen an E70 with leatherette...

I would not buy another car with leatherette; we bought our Mini without leather and find it just to hot. Leatherette is vinyl and it does not breath, BMW leather seats which I have in both my BMW's is very easy to clean, ( Iv'e got 3 dogs) and feels sooooo good. BMW assist as others have said comes with Premium Pkg. Good luck

After reviewing all the option packages for the 2007 X5, I asked a dealer to give me two quotes:
1)Leather, technology package and premium sound package.
2)Leather,technology package and sport package.

For the first one, I receive a quote of $56,884.13 including tax and dealer fees.
For the second one, a quote of $57,884.13 including tax and dealer fees.

I replied to them with those figures: 49000+tax for the first one and 50000+tax for the second.
I am waiting for their probable response.
I am not a good negotiator and I don't want to pay too much for the car. Please help decide on a good and fair price.

For 2007's you should be able to discount the car at least $2000 below sticker. I would not pay any more than that. Otherwise, go to another dealer who are willing to discount the 07's.

You can go on BMWNA site and build your car, once you have decided what you want, give each dealer the same spec's and ask them for their best price. The only way to negotiate is to have at least a couple of dealers fighting for your business.

Don't you want an awesome sunroof?

If you are going with leather, you might as well get the Premium package. I think it's a good deal. But then, those stuff in premium package should come standard on 60K car. BMW sure knows how to take money out of thier customers' pockets.

What about the regular moonroof? don't all X5 come with it? I don't like panoramic moonroof which is what the premium package comes with. I can do with exactly what I posted on my first thread.
