would aerokit cover up a tow hitch?
like it says?
I was wondering casue I will have to get a tow hithc and it leaves such a ugly hole in the rear bumper. I love the aero kit and wonder if you could put it on over the hitch and remove it when needed(on occasion)? anyone know?

No, it won't work, you also have to cut the Aero Kit for the hitch to protrude through, so you still end up with hole.

I'm putting on the BMW hitch next week. It is diffinitely an "ugly hole" in the rear bumper. Can't believe BMW could not have designed a cleaner look! Im thinking of buying one of those slide into the 2" reciever additional bumpers I have seen on other vehicles with hitches just to cover the hole.

I'm waiting for them to come up with something a lot better than the hole in the bumper... I will largely use it for bike racks not real towing ..so I can wait...

I am going to try and cut the hole smaller like on the right side and cut that trim piece. this should make the hole smaller and less ugly, we will see how it works

I have just got a detachable towbar fitted (the same one BMW use) and it sits behind bumper when towball is not fitted and then you remove flap in bumper and attach towball when you need it. The pic below is of the rear bumper with NO towball fitted. The reason the flap stands out in the pic is because it is brand new and the rest of the valance is dirty!!.
