Definitely get the '08.
Prices will not change that much from '07. Unless the wait for an '08 is too long for you I would wait.
I would never buy an '07 model late in the model year unless it is severely discounted - it will matter when you sell/trade-in this X.
Some of the new model glitches may also be fixed in the '08 although may be a little early in the model cycle to hope for this.

Looks like for us in the UK that the BMW website car config tool has been updated with the new SD/Sport models and associated 2008 pricing. Nothing exciting though other than soft close doors.

Have prices for the sat. nav. (option 609) increased? I don't have the 2008 X5 prices, but the new (Swiss) X3 prices show a 30% increase for this option, and I fear they may be a similar increase on the X5…

looks like we're all going crazy!!! got a call from a local dealer saying he had official pricing and turned out they were just looking to take orders....

reached out to another one and he said no way...they're not available yet! won't know till Oct...

I believe they didn't start building the 07s till Nov of last year...

I have been promised by the dealer though that they will honor 07 MSRP prices but they just don't know about available options...
