Phone Mic mute issue

Driving along today on a conference call when all of a sudden I could not be heard (probably a good thing !) .. I could hear the other people on the call fine, hung up and same issue again. Stopped and turned off engine and took key out - same issue. Repaired phone with car and then ok.. anyone have this happen to them.?. I'd love a microphone mute function but one that I select not the car !!!

Out of curiosity, what brand/model phone are you using to pair with the E70. I work for a wireless telecom company and I have access to different performance stats for all phones vs bluetooth pairing for headsets and cars.

Just in case this is not an E70 problem.

Sorry James. It took me a while to get any info. You have a European/Asian version of that phone so it's a little harder to get info but I did find it.

There were a "few" reports of a similar muting problem when paired to a car kit. The number of complaints were in a very small percentage that no fix was ever implemented. However, from my experience, a software flash will normally fix this problem (or rebooting and re-pairing the phone). I don't have a flash for that phone since we don't carry that model in the US. You might want to ask your carrier if they have one available. Just make sure you back up all your info into the SD card before you do a flash since it will wipe out everything. Hope this helps.

Thanks for that I'll give it a try.. this phone was supplied by BMW as part of the car purchase so I'll get them to advise on the fault.. I'll also check if there is a phone update.. hasn't happened since but I was on a longish call over about 15 minutes when it occurred.. usually I make a lot shorter calls than that !!!

Thanks again...
