nav screen DVD playback

Yesterday, for the first time, my kids (I) put a DVD movie in and tried to watch it (vehicle is stationary). It's alright, but is there any way to turn off the nav assistance window during DVD movie playback?

You can click on the assist window and one of the options will be to turn it off. However your video will still only play in the left window and not the whole screen!

Only if you have the DVD changer installed in the glovebox.

Hmm, I have a dvd changer as well but I couldn't get it to run. I did the I-Drive under entertainment and choose DVD. I only hear sound but no picture. I'm in parked. Anything I'm doing wrong?
