Fender Flares

At what wheel diameter do you need fender flares to properly 'align' the outer aspect of the tires with the body? Looking (extensively) at other members' photos I'm guessing 21 inches and above but I'd appreciate a more 'informed' opinion.

Not rim size but tire width I think .. anything greater than 255 seems to need the flares.

I have the factory 20's with the 315 rears, but no flares. I like the look, and have not installed the larger flares so far.

Cosmetically the factory 20's look great without flares. However, I saw a pair of BMW OEM 21's at my dealer today and they looked 'off' without the flares.

I don't see an option for fender flares alone.... and I've noticed all X5s with those black outlined fenders... they don't seem to be much of a fender flare...

also can you have the TPMS disabled so you don't get a warning light when switching to larger wheels?

I need some flares too. Has anyone installed some on an E70 yet?

Cheers,
