US to get Diesel X5 by Mid 2008

Hi All,

I'm new to this forum and have found it to be a great source of info. I am really torn because I have ordered a 2008 X5 due to be built October 22. In my constant search for more information I've come across this older article you might not be aware of stating that the Diesel will be out by mid 08 with a $47K base price. http://news.windingroad.com/tech/bmw...s-with-new-x5/

I think I should hold out for the better engine. I just hope my US dealer will offer it here in Germany.

they say diesel but does this automatically include the twin turbo version as well or is that yet another announcement waiting in the wings? I'm already stretched waiting to mid-08 (and of course it contradicts itself saying late 08 too).

I wouldn't hold my breath, Instead i would wait until the official announcement. That way will all know the real deal.
