Another 6FL Problem?

I have an Ipod Nano 4GB and just noticed while it's plugged in the 6FL adapter that it stays on constantly. Before I drive away in the morning and open the armrest, it is always lit up. I'm not an electronics expert but wouldn't this cause the Ipod screen to burn out if it is lit 24/7? Does not sound normal to me. Any comments will be appreciated. Thanks

Turn off the screen when leaving it overnight in the car?

When you unlock the car, all of the "background" electronics wake up. When you lock the car, they switch off after about ten-fifteen minutes. I would say - put the iPod somewhere you can see it, but still connected (if possible, I don't know how long the lead is). Lock your car, then half an hour later, look through the window but don't unlock it. I expect you'll see that it's switched off.

It won't let me turn it off. It just says "okay to disconnect"

Good idea. It does makes sense that it probably lights up after unlocking the car. The cable has enough slack so I should be able to leave it outside the center console and see if the light turns off after I lock the car.

Thanks.

Tell it to always have the backlight off then.

Look under settings...

You hit it right on the head Satan. The Ipod does power down after a few minutes of locking the car. It powers up upon unlocking the doors.

Thanks!!!
