Slightly Blacked out my Tail Lights & Painted Reflector - Pics

I got my tail lights one shade of black darker because I didn't like so much red... yet didn't want the teenager blacked lights. I had the front yellow reflector light painted grey but I'm going to have those smoked next week instead... Here are pics for anybody considering it

How do you black out the tail lights? Can you do it yourself or is it a professional job? Thanks in advance for the info

Looks nice. I'm glad to see you didn't black it out completely.

Thanks guys... it's a tad bit more grey than the pictures show but still looks classy.
kustjag - it was professionally done by spraying it with the same stuff they use to black out rims. After it dries, they spray it with a clear coat to give it the shiny, original texture. Then I go back next week and they sand it and spray it with a clear coat to get out any bubbles, debris that might stick on it ,etc. by

They do sell do-it-at-home stuff online which I highly discourage using, especially because you will lose the original glossy look and texture. Tinting is another option which everybody I've talked to says is a bad idea for one reason or another.

How did you get the front reflectors out? Looks much better without the ugly yellow in front.

They painted it but I don't like how it looks up close so I'm gonna have it smoked to a dark grey to cover up the yellow...

Thanks... The place that did the lights is an accessory store - they sell and install wheels, exhaust, body kits, lowering kits, etc. Most of those kind of shops will be able to do it. Just make sure they do the coating like I mentioned above.
