Because the owner likes it. And he wants to show you what he can do with his money. If you are a non-bmw guy, you wouldn't know those rims are exclusively for BMW.

True, true. I don't know, I think anyone who swaps out the OEM rims on a Land Rover is kinda ruining the spirit of the off-roading that it's meant to do.

But here in Dallas, Land Rovers seem to be bling-mobiles (ie. Escalade) and never exit the pavement.

Initially RRSS's can be more expensive than the X5 4.8i, but thanks to wonderful British engineering, the depreciation is ridiculous the first year.

Honestly, I don't know why Land Rover is even thinking about moving up to the 500+ HP Jag XKR/XFR engine. Maybe they're starting to realize just how rarely people take these SUV's off-road.
