Regular cars have a spare, if you get the 3rd row seats in the back, there's no spare.

It varies between world markets. No spare in UK irrespective of seat configurations.

In Taiwan, there is no spare tire. No matter if you have the 3rd row of seat. All X5 (E70) in Taiwan have run flat tires.

So, yeah, it depends on which market or country.

I assume it may also make a difference if there is a sport package or if the tires are extremely large.
I would think if you are getting standard tires, you may get a spare.
