ToadMazter is on a distinguished road
Unhappy

I tinkered around in an 08 4.8 today that has the 6 disc DVD changer and Rear Seat Entertainment. As reported, a DVD in the changer will play in the iDrive screen while the vehicle is parked. Unfortunately, a front loaded DVD will not play on the rear screen. You will still have to load a single disc into the slot in the rear of the center console, and the remote is required to control. No driver or front passenger control via iDrive whatsoever. Wacky. So the net result is both options are a tremendous waste of money.
