How do I tell if I have sport seats?

Bought my E70 as a CPO. I'm not sure of a definitive way to differentiate between sport and regular seats. I know they are not multi contour. I do have the sport pacakge, so I just assumed that they were, but the side bolstering doesn't seem very sporty to me. They do have powered lumbar support and the manual side extension - does that make them sport seats? Anyone have pics of reg v sport?

Searched for the answer, but couldn't find anything.

Can you adjust the thigh support, i.e can the front-most portion of the bottom cushion be adjusted outwards? That's found on sport seats.

Ahh. I meant "thigh" instead of "side" in my original post. I do have that feature. Thanks!

My comfort seats also have the thigh support adjustment. Do you have ventilated leather seats in front?

in addition to the lateral thigh bolsters, the side bolsters (for your back/arms) on the sport are much more prominent than regular seats I believe. Unfortunately I don't have a good pic of my sport seats, but here's some partial.

Do you have to raise your butt a little to clear the sides getting in and out? If so, you have the sport seats.

BTW, what model year do you have? Sport package = sport seats (unless you have the multi-contour comfort seats which you said you don't).

Thanks SCardamon! I have a 2007 4.8i. Coming from a G35, I miss driving a nimble 6-speed manual coupe, but I do like the comfort and sportiness of the X5. Maybe I need to look into getting a Boxster as a second car!

My seats are not ventilated. I was really hoping to find one with mutli contour/ventilated seats, but the ones I did find where either overpriced or high mileage. I'm sure I have the sports seats - they just didn't feel particularly sporty to me. It would be good to have a photo of the regular next to the sports so you can see the differences.

Thanks for the reply guys! Its good to see lots of friendly enthusiasts on this board.

Just turn on that Sport button next to the shifter knob and switch to manual shift mode and you may be spurprised at how nimble it feels. I had a 5 speed 330ci and I have to say this vehicle does not feel like an SUV IMO.

Do you have the staggered 20in wheels?

Lets see some pics my friend!
