Bluetooth Blues...
Just got back from Fields BMW (Northfield, IL) where I took it in because my phone wouldn't pair. I eventually got it to pair, but it was intermittent, so I took it in. SA said "phone figured out that it was not compatible with the car, and the recent software update was no help with that. So now it is paired, but the phone icon on the display is missing. Any ideas?
Thanks

What version of the Blackberry OS are you running? Some version of the firmware can be problematic.
Try seeing if TMo has a update. Quote:

Oh,
The version I've noticed to be most stable on the 8700g is 4.2.1.96. That ones seemed to cure many of the weird issues including some funny bluetooth connectivuty funniness. |

A phone type to avoid is Nokia Symbian-based phones. (N95, E61, E65, N73, N75, N76) These will pair---but not work...or if they work, it is VERY hit or miss.
