Need your opinion on painting bumpers or not!

I have 3 options that I'm having trouble choosing between. I listed the options and concerns, what do you guys think is best?

Getting the aero kit and leaving the black plastic on the car - it's gonna cost around $2,000 and the main reason for getting this is to cover the black bumpers

Getting the aero kit and painting the bumpers space grey - gonna cost around $3,000 but might be unnecessary if I do option 3

Skipping the aero kit and painting ALL the black parts (the piece that running boards go over, the black strip on the side, bumpers) on the car space grey. I'd switch the grey kidney and bottom mesh to black to offset all the grey. Will cost around 1k but I don't know if this will look good. Anybody know how to photoshop this option?

Which option do you think is best?

Thanks !!

I was too planning to paint both front and back bumpers plus all fenders and all door molding strips in jet black. I got a quote from one body shop in OC yesterday for $1,100. I am still not sure how it turns out. If anyone has the photoshop pictures, please post. I like to see how it looks, pior making a final decisions.

i'm sure it'll look good but it's probably tough to get a perfect match even if you did provide the paint.

I had my car custom painted at a local shop and they didn't add the same amount of layers or whatever else was needed to get the exact same color shine...

same paint color but you can tell it's slightly different...

it's a nice idea with the space grey...I thought about it too..

let us know if you decide on it and make sure to take pictures...

Me, personally, would just get the rear bumper painted. If you paint all the other trim it's too much upkeep on the paint getting chipped, etc. Though looking at pics on the rear bumper there is no seamless way to paint it seems---the rear bumper section comes half way up the rear wheel molding and would look odd in any paint other than black.

since I'm planning on white and have seen white X3s with painted bumpers, I've decided leaving the black looks way better. Add the aero kit for a nicer contrast too.

The gray/black bumpers with aero looks great - there's a couple threads with them here.

the hamaan e70 is fully painted space gray. looks good.
personally i like all the black on my space gray. i think it makes it look kinda rugged/aggressive. i thought about just adding the aero kit, but in south florida there's too much road debri and hazards and i'd get pissed every time i saw a chip on my aero. so i'll just leave it as is.

i vote for just getting the aero kit though. will save u a lot of cleaning up as opposed to having everything painted.

Generally I'm a big fan of body colored bumpers, however, on the E70 I don't like them. The two tone body color/black looks much better. I don't even care for the look of the M-Sport models which have body colored bumpers. Normally I like the look of the M-Sport/M-Aero kit on other models (I have it on my E60), but on the E70 it doesn't look good to me and I feel part of it is because the bumpers are entirely body colored (which 90% of the time is a good thing to me....but not on the E70).

I would just leave the bumpers as they are and install the STANDARD (NON-M) aero kit painted body color.......like the E70 in the link a few posts above.

well you guys cost me an extra $1k! I ordered the aerokit but might still paint the bumpers also... i'll probably leave them alone though. what an unexpected response... nobody liked the painting bumpers only. thanks for your opinions ! will post pics in a couple weeks when I get it arrives and gets installed.
