Thanks everyone for the opinions...

I didnt like the car at all, I really wanted the 20" Y spokes and it had the standard sport 19's. The papers were all ready when I realized the car didnt knock me out like the E53 had when I first got it. I'm not going to drive something that I dont love despite the great deal. I am going to go tommorow and order an '08 and get everything exactly how I want it.

Thanks anyways..

I like the Platinum Bronze a lot, but I always wonder by BMW seems to have such limited color choices, e.g., I really like the metallic whites that many companies are putting on their cars, but if you want white, you can only get a plain-jane non-metallic. Same with Reds for the most part. Yet, they will do odd things like the Urban Green on the Z4 a few years ago, of which they probably only sold a dozen (My salesman when I bought my Z4 told me that one of their customers ordered an Urban Green Z4 and when it got to the dealership, the salesmen were making bets with each other as to whether he would accept it or not.)

I would love to order an X5 in a nice bright red metallic, or a more subtle white-metallic, or even a light blue metallic. Instead BMW give you a Blue so dark it could almost be mistaken for black when not in the sunlight, a couple of silver/grays (would you like your gray light or dark Sir?), and two blacks (plain or metallic Sir?) and two greens (light or dark Sir?.)

I guess maybe BMW knows their customers and I may be the exception, but I would think offering a bit more color variety would be reasonable for a $50,000+ vehicle.

I agree - On our E53 we ended up with toledo blue, because it was the only colour we would 'tolerate' that was compatible with our interior colour choice. Result being we have a nice interior but an entirely boring and un-eventful exterior ... black and white - its the new beige (joke)

I wish they would make some brighter colours available. There is a bourdaux coloured E53 in our area - what a beauty
