some of you fellows are lucky. My dealer has no respect for getting back to me and following things up. if I am not given an allocation tomorrow i am going to take it up with BMW South Africa.. after all i have been driving the current 3.0d for six months and the oil leak has not been repaired after 7 attempts. I must say i am really pissed off with the shoddy service I am being given. The allocation for my replacement should have been last month,,,,nothing but excuses. I am almost at the stage of looking at another model. BMW are really frustrating me,,,,aargh.

Unhappy 3,0 sd

3,0 sd must be really good, I was going to change my 3,0d to 3,0sd but now I will wait for X6. Why dwarfer did not ordered comfort seats??? I hope in 2008 BMW will catch out bugs from adaptive drive...

The spec I have ordered for my sd is as follows

Space Grey
Black Nevada Leather
Dynamic Pack
Media Pack
20" Y Spoke Style 214 wheels
Comfort Seats
Comfort Access
Steering Wheel Heating
Reversing Assist Camera
Graduated Tinted Windscreen
Panaormaic Glass Sunroof
Side Blinds
Floor Mats
Auto-Dim Int +Ext Mirror
Front Seat Heating
Brushed Aluminium Trim
Third Row Seating
Xenon Headlights
Adaptive Headlights
High Beam Assistant
Front passenger airbag deactivation
DAB digital radio
Hi-Fi Sys Prof DSP
USB/audio interface
Sun Protection Glass
Soft Close Doors
Auto Tailgate
Ski Bag
Luggage Net

Got a bit carried away...decided I didn't want HUD or Adaptive drive. I was tempted by the latter but the car was getting expensive enough as it was!

Thanks quite a nice spec Fredo. Realised my posed spec was an older one as I ended up also having HUD. I probably would have gone for Comfort seats but I had to stop somewere and adaptive drive really drove the price up.
Now my dealer has put a spanner in the works by telling me he will give me £870 buy back on my 20" wheels as I showed an intrest in some 21" ones.

Unusual for dealers to offer a buy back on wheels....they must have a need/home for them I reckon ?

Adaptive drive is bloody expensive! I thought about it for a long time but just didn't see that we'd really get the use out of it as we live in London. Not like we will be throwing the car around corners a lot and the regular car handles very well. Decided on spending the money on some creature comforts instead. I think we will keep this car for a long time so I didn't want to regret not ordering something...that will allow me to get something fun a year or two.

I totally agree.
I live in the country and do a 10mile drive down windy roads every day so it was a must for me. I don't think i could go back to driving in the city!

My dealer has just had his demo arrive....must be getting the first customer cars soon. Dealer also told me that my car has been built but is not expected before week 51 ! He reckons it will be earlier though....I bloody hope so.
