This is truly a very sad day. Not only has the stock market taken another nose dive today but for the first time since I started giving you my version of the BMW sales reports over 10 years ago BMW of North America has chosen to not give us the sales figures for each individual model. I can only hope this failure is some temporary problem that will be solved quickly. The Bottom Line: The BMW Group Sales Report is all you are going to see until BMW of North America gives us the info we all want.
Maybe it’s a good time now for me to stop producing my sales reports. Anybody want to take up the task? Send me an e-mail at [email protected] if you are interested. October has been another great month for BMW in the United States. BMW Group vehicle sales reached 26,821 units this month which was a 9.6% increase from the 24,464 units sold last October. The YTD sales total of 275,094 for the first 10 months of 2006 was also up 8.2% from the 254,297 sold during the same 10 months of 2005. Sales of the X Series were up 30.1% on the strength of sales of the new X5 while car sales were up 9.3% based on strong 3 & 5 Series sales. Sales of the BMW brand were up 12.6% this month when compared to last October. The Mercedes-Benz sales total of 22,820 units this month was the best October on record for MB in the U.S. and was a 10.8% improvement over the total of 20,598 units sold last October. The new C Class is responsible for this result with October sales of 7,646 units vs. only 3,784 units sold in October, 2006. YTD 2007 sales for MB are also up some 2.8% thanks to the new C Class which was first available in August, 2007. Lexus sold 25,119 units this October, up only 4.6% over the 24,006 sold last October. Lexus YTD sales for the 10 months of 2007 were up 4.4%. Please note that I report only United States sales data. Yea, judging by the sad face icon, I thought you were gonna say BMW sales plummeted to an all-time low. But yea, hopefully the regular sales figures reports come back soon. You do bring us good information, and we appreciate it.

What's more drastic than a nose dive? Because that's what the stock market took. (Me on the left...stock broker on the right)

wow an 82% increase for this Oct. Looks like plenty of people are jumping on it after the 1st year bugs have come and [supposedly] gone. I do notice quite a few more E70s on the streets these days.
