JUST went "scheduled for production" and i want to change feature. Any suggestions???

Just today, the online site says my car is now "scheduled for production" and I just decided to change the interior color (long story). but i really do want to make this change. the dealer is looking into it, but says unlikely and they won't know until tomorrow since know one is available to call today.

has anyone had a similar experience?? any suggestions or advice? the car wasn't suppoesd to go into production until 3rd week of november, but they must be ahead of schedule... i thought i had more time to decide.

i've also selected 'performance center delivery' in case that matters.

any thoughts on how to resolve this issue? i'm hoping they didn't really start building the car yet.... anyone know how quick that process is from when it first says 'scheduled for production'? thanks.

The website is usually a few days behind what is really happening so it's probably pretty far along already. You might be SOL but I assume the best thing you can do is try to have your salesman try to change it.

Start off by calling the 800 number to get a better estimate of were your car is in the process.

If it has gone 112 for more than a day or so you are likely SOL.

Cheers,

i should know more in the morning. i was originally told the vehicle would not go into production until the 3rd week in november, so i'm surprised it's already at that stage. i thought i had more time to change my mind on options... and now i really think i'd prefer the black interior vs. sand color. argh....

I got the black interior as that was my preference --- oh sorry, that's not helping you

And, unfortunately, bergs is right about the website being a few days behind. For example, my truck completed production on Oct 31 but still shows as "Scheduled for Production" on the website. Also, production seems to be ahead of schedule as my truck was scheduled to be built in the first week of November...

with your getting your change in the system anyway.
