Taking delivary of my '08 X5 4.8 next week, just arrived Thursday at the dealership. I've followed the X5 posts for months to help decide on final options.
Was able to get a favor called in, really wanted the Saddle Brown, the dealership was able to get it from their rep. Looks great. Also, got the third row when I realised that the seat backs adjust backward on the second row, so rear passangers have opportunity to get more comfortable.
Active Steering with Servotronic was a must have as I traded out of a 2005 4.8is (Titanium/Cream Beige, best car I've ever owned), and the light steering was much more comfortable and easy to use around town than the heavy steering I had in my 2002 4.4.
