Napa Leather - How does it hold up?

This site has been very helpful and I have gotten most of my questions answered. I am about to order a new X5 in the next week. I like the Napa leather; it gives the car a more luxurious look. However, I'm concerned about how well it holds up. Is it durable? Close to the Nevada leather?Does it scratch easily? Could Napa leather owners chime in?

Nappa leather

Have the same question too.
Like the looks but also have doubts about the durability.

I have had the Nappa for about 4000 miles now, its in beige.

It is very durable for me anyway, cleans easily, doesn't scratch (even with the kids), no creases etc. I am very pleased I got it.

I have nappa in my 2002 Audi A4 in light grey. It hold up very well, no scratches stains or rips yet.

Do a SEARCH, it has been discussed before.

Search is there for a reason. Seven years of combined knowledge at your finger tips...but you need a personalized response. I would understand more if when I plugged in Nappa Leather to the search button I didn't get pages of responses.

Boy it's tough to be the new kid. I should have stated that I used the search function and it answered about 20 of my 21 questions. I could not find a thread that specifically addressed the durability of the Napa leather. Although there are hundreds of threads on Nappa, BMW seems to spell it Napa in their last brochure, most of the threads re: Nappa were about the differences, types of leather, history of BMW leather, tanning processes and wine trips thru Southern Cal. None seemed to be conclusive. One poster would venture a guess as to it's durability. One would say it was not durable, one would contradict him in the same thread. I could not ascertain a consensus. I'm sorry I may have missed the post that directly addressed this, as I've read hundreds on this board on different subjects. Anyway, I would like to thank the couple of posters who helped. I am trying to save this thread because I know once a senior member admonishes the post, it is defacto dead. If any member can refer me to a definitive thread re: Napa durability that I may have missed, I promise to read it. Thank you.

My S4 is swathed in gorgeous white nappa leather with contrasting piping. It is shinier than it was two years ago, but Audi uses different texturing than BMW, and otherwise it has held up perfectly.

I have it in my M6 and I would never take anything else. It looks so much better and durability is very good.

That is why we ordered our X5 with Nappa as well. My advice: don't hesitate and get it. It is money well spent.
