has anyone done Performance Center delivery and if so, can you confirm following???

Has anyone done a performance center deliver recently (07 or 08 model).... and if so, can you confirm the following:

1) does the navigation come with the map DVD from the factory? so you can drive/navigate home?

2) do they leave the front license plate bracket off.... i don't plan to put a license plate on the front and would rather not have the bracket installed... which I 'think' is normally done by dealer.

3) Is satellite radio AND BMW assist features already activated and working... or do you need to sign up something ahead of time?

anything else i should know? thanks.

1) yes, its ready to take you home
2) yes, front plate not required in SC
3) both sat radio and BMW assist will need to be set up there in order to get it working. make sure the product specialist goes over this and all the features of your car before you leave

not sure if you're planning on getting a clear bra installed, but after I left PDC, I went straight to a local guy to install mine before the long trip home. do a search on my screen name and Independent Restorations or PM me.

thanks. i'm not planning on getting the clear bra installed... those little clear lines always bother me more than little chips that occur in the future....

do you think performance center would ever install a trailer hitch?

not too sure about that but if they can, you need to have your dealer fax over that request at least 2 weeks before your PCD date. Plus you'll need to pay for it upfront b/c that payment goes straight to the PCD folks. They are very strict on the 2 week window so I your dealer gives you any shit, you may want to contact the PCD directly.
