OVAL TAILPIPES

Hi guys, im new to the forum. Im in the process of buying an E70 X5. It currently has the round chrome tailpipes. What would be involved and how easy would it be to fit the oval pipes that come on the 4.8's?

You would need to find the tailpipe and have it welded on. Currently, the OEM pipes come as one piece.

check the threads...plenty of info on this... all research has been done for you...including viable alternatives!!

can't remember all the details but Gibson makes a similar exhaust tip that is a bolt-on and there are others offering full replacements...

Hartge makes a nice product too but on a recent email they said it wasn't ready for mass production for a few weeks.

Eisenmann is working on an exhaust for the E70 with oval tips.
