do you guys invite dealers to these forums??

i just realized.... do you guys ever invite your local dealers to register on this forum??

we all should!!

it will make them aware of any issues and hopefully get them interested enough to take action or at least forward the info back to corporate!!

we need to do that!

plus it opens the door to networking which may result in additional sales for them...

it's a win win situation....

I do, they never really show though. I think they get nervous that they are signing up for something.

Mine appears to be too busy selling cars... I could not believe how many cars my particular CA seemed to be responsible for delivering last week.

I think I'll go to a quieter dealership next time.

There are few dealers already registered here. Irvrobinson from Motorwerks, one from Crevier, one from Rhode Island, couple more from Cali and of course MorristownBMW.

Most of them (a) busy selling the cars and (b) dont give a .... about problems and issues... Problems generate revenue (warranty labor chargeback) for the service department.

It should not be the dealers who poke around this site, but the corporate itself. I know Honda does it for the odyclub.com (my prior home), and I was even interviewed by them once 3 years ago...

i'm going to make xworld.com cards and pass them out....

we need to get them more involved...

worse case scenario at least they would be aware of any known issues...(which will make life easier for us if he had to return it for service)

and they can still make sales by answering quote requests like morristown bmw...

but i guess you're right... corporate needs to be here... sales will only seek more sales!!

let's spam corporate!!!!

That makes a lot of sense to focus on BMW corporate rather than the dealers. I don't expect the dealers to be concerned about any problems that we might post --- unless we bad-mouth the CA or dealership...

my dealer has been pretty good! he's been answering my e-mails and taking my calls...

he also knows i'll hunt him down if he doesn't!

i just thought it would be good to make them aware of outstanding isssues... this will make life easier for all of us when we find ourselves trying to justify a service request...or software update.

and it allows them to advertise their dealership which may bring more sales..

If I were a Sales person I would sign up.... (just another networking opportunity that doesn't cost anything)
