Motorola Q9M / Samsung i760

Looks like I need to upgrade my phone to get it to work with the car. My Samsung i730 drops blue tooth after about 30 seconds on the call.

I am looking at both the Q9M and i760.

Anyone have any experience with either of these phones?

Car is X5 '08 with premium pack.

Thanks

Edit, I misread your post. The i730 will not work because it has WM5.

The Motorola Q9m and I760 should both work since they have WM6.

The Samsung i760 is a better phone, IMO since it has WM6 professional, compared to the Moto, it only has WM6 standard edition.

Actually i have the i730 with WM5 and it works fine. Full address book and no drop calls. Will upgrade soon to another Verizon phone maybe the i760, BB 8830 or LG Voyager. Waiting to hear from others first if they were successful pairing any of these new phones.

Happy to report that BB8830 works well, paired well, calls come through beautifully, people dont even realise they are on speakerphone. Addressbook shows up in the car just fine, can see missed calls as well.
Havent tested beyond that. Also need to start reading the manual since I couldnt find a way to hang up the call

That's good to hear the BB8830 works with the E70. I read somewhere else in this forum that if you have a large address book it'll only load half way. How many contacts do you have on your 8830?

I'll have to put it on the top of my list when I upgrade my phone.

I think you can just press the phone button on your steering wheel to hang up, It works with my i730.

I have 234 contacts at the moment and havent noticed any missing. I will see if I can add to 500 or maybe just over 500 if you want to test, I keep the book to the bare minimum needed since I hate to fumble through all the names. My main addressbook in the email is over 16,000 and I am sure BB might not handle that well.
