anyone figure out how to get ORANGE turn signals in rear??

apparently the USA version of the x5 has red turn signals in the rear, while the european/other versions have orange turn signals.

does anyone know how us folks in the USA can get the orange turn signals? they are much more visible and appropriate.... red turn signals are idiotic.

thanks.

Most of your posts make me smile

Are you as angry as you seem? Maybe you're just a perfectionist...

If/when we get our X5 that would be one of the first mods that I'm going to do........ If I do only one thing on the car it will be to change the red taillights to the international version with the amber turn signals. The non-US version's turn signals look almost red when off, but when it's on it is amber. Here are the part numbers of the European (ECE) taillights. I think some US dealerships might be willing to order them, but if not some other sources (like RoverActive on eBay) can get them, although RoverActive is usually expensive.

Maybe we can pay some of our European friends on this board to get them from their local dealerships and send them to us. ..........maybe even setup a group buy. I'm going to see if I can get a hold of my contact at BMW Niederlassung in Munich and at least see how much the lights cost.

I personally like the red signal lights, but does anybody have pics of the european ambers? Maybe it looks better than it sounds?

If I had a E70....I would jump on it ;-)

Amber is much more preferred for turns. I concur
