2008 X5 3.0si hesitation from dead stop

Hi guys,

I've noticed my new 2008 X5 3.0si hesitates a bit when giving gas from a dead stop. It almost feels and sounds like the engine is revving properly and the 1st gear of the transmission is pushing to get all 4800 lbs initially moving. Once there is momentum, the vehicle accelerates and shifts perfectly. During the test drive (before buying and when mine was delivered) I didn't notice this but I was probably just too darn excited to make turns at 40 MPH without the vehicle feeling like it was going to fall over like most SUV's.

It's not really a problem per se as I don't plan to drag race or anything, but I just don't know if it is normal feel with the 3.0's.

Any impressions?

Thanks!

Mike

I had the exact same problem last night when I was leaving a friends house. It hasn't happened before or since then though.

How often does it happen to you?
