What are delivery times like to UK/Ireland

Hi,

I have a 3.0 SD M-Sport on order and my dealer called me yesterday to say that my production slot has been brought forward from Week 2 2008 to week 50 2007.

Generally how long does it take for delivery to UK/Ireland from date of production?

My car was built the first week of October and arrived at the dealership on 15 November, so roughtly six weeks. Maybe a bit quicker for Ireland as the cars for the UK arrive at Southampton, then have to be transported upto Hull for inspection (BMW's main importing area) and then on a further transporter to the dealership. Not sure if the cars for Ireland come to Southampton and are then shipped from England or go directly to Ireland in the first place. Once a car has arrived at the dealership allow a week for them to turn it around.

Man thats fast!

The cars for Ireland get inspected by BMW UK so I guess it will go there also.

My week 45 build was compleated a week or so early roughly the end of September and it is due to me in the UK around the 12-15th Dec so I would say about 6 weeks shipping. But I have heard there are 2 shipping routes one quick which I think mine is on and one slow that stops off more and can take a week or two longer. Also I guess it depends on when your car compleates build and when the next ship is due to leave. I would say 8 weeks as a good guide

yep - it is about 6 weeks - mine was built April and received May.

yes there are two boats and mine is on the slow one! Gutted. I really hope I get it for Christmas as I have family staying and the capacity will be bloody useful!
